The service

AttestSeal returns trust checks about web domains. Each response is a structured payload signed with Ed25519. The score and recommendation are advisory; you decide how to act on them. We do not guarantee the score is correct in every case.

Acceptable use

You may use the API for any legitimate purpose, including in commercial products. You agree not to:

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is." AttestSeal scores represent our best estimate of trustworthiness based on observable signals at the time of the check. We do not warrant that any particular domain is safe or unsafe, that any merchant will or will not commit fraud, or that any transaction will succeed.

Agents and applications consuming AttestSeal results are responsible for their own decision logic, including but not limited to: payment authorization, risk thresholds, user disclosures, and human-in-the-loop fallbacks for high-value transactions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AttestSeal, Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: lost profits, data loss, fraudulent transactions accepted on the basis of an AttestSeal score, or transactions blocked on the basis of an AttestSeal score.

Our aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to USD 100 or the amount you have paid AttestSeal in the prior 12 months, whichever is greater. The free API has no fee, so the floor of USD 100 applies.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold AttestSeal harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these terms.

Intellectual property

AttestSeal, the AttestSeal mark, the seal logo, and the signed-attestation format are property of AttestSeal, Inc. The published trust dataset is licensed under the terms stated on its publication page (currently CC-BY-4.0). The open-source SDKs and reference implementations are licensed under the terms in their respective repositories at github.com/AttestSeal/attestseal.

Modifications

We may change these terms. Material changes are announced on the blog. Your continued use of the Service after the change date is acceptance of the new terms.

Termination

We may rate-limit, block, or revoke access to the Service at our discretion if we reasonably believe these terms have been violated. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
